Compton Crook Award 2012

Congratulations to T. C. McCarthy, winner of the 2012 Compton Crook Award for his novel Germline!

McCarthy's novel was published in August of 2011 by Orbit. The award will be presented during the Opening Ceremonies of Balticon, the annual Maryland regional Science Fiction convention.

The Compton Crook Award is presented by the members of the Baltimore Science Fiction Society to the best first novel in the field of Science Fiction, Fantasy, or Horror published during the previous year. The award has been presented since 1983.
